System ergonomic analysis, evaluation and design of structures and work processes in healthcare

The health care system as a work system is under increasing pressure: a growing amount of work is facing a lack of personnel resources. Constantly increasing quality requirements from different perspectives as Patients, Cost Carriers and Clinical Management are also challenging factors. There is a need for improving treatment processes by making them comparable and therefore transparent workflows are necessary.
