ABSTRACT
At Franciscan, staff are taught basic Lean Healthcare techniques in addition to Kaizen principles. At the end of each training session, participants are asked to immediately apply what they learned in their workplace and to turn in what they did as a Kaizen. This chapter reviews many of those basic Lean techniques that are taught and illustrates them with example Kaizens.
