ABSTRACT
Triangles are an abstract mathematical invention and have been used by human beings for many millennia (Figure 9.1). The mathematical properties of triangles have played a crucial role in human scientific and technological development, from the building of the pyramids to the modern understanding of the general theory of relativity and the universe.
