ABSTRACT
Tough times don’t last, tough people do. ere are hundreds of books written by former hostages and prisoners of war (POWs). e majority of them did not think of themselves as tough people. However, they were and have shared their story of survival with our free society. Freedom is not free. ese survivors are living proof of that axiom.
