ABSTRACT
A degree of caution is necessary when employing formulas for which there is uncertainty as to applicability and restrictions of use. The relatively simple form of many expressions presented in this text result from severely limiting assumptions used in their derivation. Particular cognizance should be taken of the fact that high loadings, extreme temperature, and rigorous performance requirements present difficult design challenges [4-8].
