ABSTRACT
Developing the right simulation tools is especially important for WSN studies. In many cases, we may not have large-scale (>1000 sensors) WSN hardware testbeds. Software-based simulations provide inexpensive design performance tests. Today, many simulation tools can simulate noise, interference, and other uncertain factors in WSNs. Th ese can even analyze energy consumptions in diff erent hardware parts. Th is chapter introduces some typical WSN simulators.
