ABSTRACT
Surfactants (surface active agents) are widely spread in nature, in industry, and in our everyday life. From colloid and interface science, we know that surfactants can most frequently be found at the interfaces between two contacting media. By modifying the surface properties, the properties of the whole system or process are modied. Therefore, the number of surfactant applications are too numerous. One such application is in the formation of multilayer lms and coatings.
