ABSTRACT

The gross and histopathological necropsy ndings generally show the following features: diffuse pulmonary edema and congestion with intraparenchymal and subpleural hemorrhages, liver congestion with focal hemorrhages and yellow discoloration, cardiomegaly with epicardial hemorrhages, splenomegaly and congestion, renal edema with loss of corticomedullary border, and gastrointestinal hemorrhages and presence of blood in the bladder and uterus (Salas et al. 1991).
