ABSTRACT

The previous chapter presented details on how to audit your organization against the

Baldrige criteria. This approach is very thorough, but many organizations don’t have

the resources to use it to the best effect. Most of the companies I’ve worked with in

conducting Baldrige assessments over the past few years don’t use the full-scale audit

approach. Rather, a number of other basic methods are used. These are listed below in

order of least to most objective and thorough, and of least to most expensive.
