ABSTRACT
Once a drug is approved for use in the United States, there is a process of how the drugs are distributed and used. This process is organized, complex, and controlled and is called the
drug-use process
. Pharmacists are intimately involved in the drug-use process. They are accountable for controlling parts of the process so the drugs are used safely and effectively and not diverted into the wrong hands.
