ABSTRACT
A company such as Sears generally cannot employ a doctor and open a doctor’s of£ce in one of its stores. The reason for this prohibition is something called the Corporate Practice of Medicine Doctrine. Basically, the doctrine provides that only people with medical licenses, and not companies, may practice medicine.
