ABSTRACT
Reproduction provides for the origin of new individuals. Reproductive biology is the study of the reproductive organs and biological processes that tell us how organisms reproduce. Reproductive ecology of ‘shes on the other hand, is most concerned about where and when a ‘sh reproduces and how much energy is allocated to the process. First, we must understand the process of reproduction, then we can determine how environmental factors in¤uence the process, and ‘nally we can explore how the ‘sh responds to the environmental factors in a way that maximizes ‘tness.
