ABSTRACT
In this chapter we develop the basic concepts and tools in matrix algebra, including vector spaces and subspaces, systems of algebraic equations, determinants and inverse of matrices, Gaussian elimination, and eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Each mathematical topic is supplemented with the elementary MATLAB functions that relate to it.
