ABSTRACT
The premise behind the POIPAT is that the higher a POI scores, the more likely he or she is to have been responsible for the offence(s) being investigated. It’s like circumstantial evidence-the more you have, the stronger the case. Everyone assessed using the tool is assigned a POIPAT score. That score will determine whether the POI is classified as low, medium or high priority.
