ABSTRACT
The POIPAT and the Elimination Status Coding System (ESCS) are quite different but complement each other. The biggest difference between them is that the POIPAT is applied when a POI is first identified and the ESCS is applied when the POI investigation has concluded. Both of these tools can be plugged into any major investigation utilizing a major case management system whether they are manual or electronic.
