ABSTRACT
It is beyond the scope of this handbook to provide a detailed discussion of pacemakers and automatic implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs). However, we have included a brief overview in this chapter for two reasons:
● Pacemakers and ICDs are effective treatments for several of the problems described in this book.
