ABSTRACT
Information about a dened population that is collected in a consistent manner for administrative reasons is called routine data. Such data may be used to describe the needs of and services provided to different population groups. Different countries have different sources of routine health data, and the information collected and the frequency of collection will vary. However, almost all countries process their data into vital statistics. These indicators describe the most important events in life, such as births, deaths, and migrations.
