ABSTRACT
Proctocolectomy (PC) for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is most commonly performed for ulcerative colitis (UC) and infrequently for Crohn’s disease (CD) with associated pancolitis. This chapter will focus primarily on PC for UC, with additional comments pertaining to CD.
