including due process and the theoretical unlimited power of the Westminster Parliament to legislate
• To review the UDHR and treaty provisions prohibiting retrospective criminal law and punishment
• To apply the 'Kevin test ' (see Chapter 8) to the three main principles of Art 7 to show how it operates in practice
• To examine the case law on retroactive law and pun ishment.
