ABSTRACT
LCB was the daughter of a serviceman who had been on Christmas Island in 1957-58 when the UK tested nuclear weapons. Born in 1966 she was diagnosed with leukaemia in 1970, which she believed was caused by her father’s exposure to radiation. She claimed that failure to warn her father, or monitor the radiation dose received, breached Convention Arts 2 and 3.
