ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces statistical tests for assessing the significance of differences between two samples and also introduces calculation of effect size and power. l The related t test is used where data are in pairs, from a repeated measures or matched
pairs design. H0 is that the mean of the population of difference means (mean of differences between each pair of values) is zero.
