ABSTRACT
In the British constitution the executive is known as Her Majesty’s Government as in constitutional theory the monarch appoints and dismisses government ministers. In addition, civil servants are employed and dismissed by the Crown. Further, in terms of the executive in practice, in a technical sense, the Queen is the Commander in Chief of the armed forces.
