ABSTRACT
Heat transfer by convection occurs through the exchange of thermal energy between a surface and an adjacent fluid. Fluid motion is frequently involved in practical energy exchange processes. In this chapter, we will build upon the knowledge acquired in earlier chapters involving fluid mechanics to include the situations in which temperature differences exist between a fluid and the surface it contacts.
