ABSTRACT
Many of the most important applications of chemical equilibrium are to be found in aqueous electrolyte solutions. Some of these applications include biological reactions, electrochemical processes, corrosion, and many of the instrumental methods used for chemical analysis. In these systems, dissolved salts, acids, and bases dissociate-–either partly or completely-–to form ions in solution.
