ABSTRACT
Chapter 13 discussed the concept of risk and risk assessment. This chapter will focus on how to conduct a risk assessment, especially emphasizing the risk evaluation process. As demonstrated in Chapter 13, risk assessment has grown immensely in the last few years. For a long time, most engineers outside the narrow field of nuclear energy have had very little contact with risk assessment; this has now changed. Engineers are seeing risk assessment applied to almost every industry.
