ABSTRACT
The October 1962 Cuban missile crisis was the closest to the two nuclear-armed superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union, which came to actual conflict during the four decades of the Cold War. Aspects of intelligence, such as analysis and collection, played key roles in a peaceful resolution of the confrontation.
