ABSTRACT
The entry provides an introduction to the role of ethics in emergency management. It reviews basic sources of ethics such as the Constitution and laws, including international law, and codes of ethics or conduct, and focuses on the major philosophical approaches to ethics that underlie choices made by those working in the emergency management field.
