ABSTRACT

Mathematicians who work in the field of number theory are interested in how numbers are related to one another. One of the key ideas in this area is how an integer can be expressed as the product of other integers. If an integer can only be written in product form as the product of 1 and the number itself it is called a prime number. Other numbers, known as composite numbers, are the product of two or more factors, for example, 15 = 3× 5 and 12 = 2× 2× 3.
