ABSTRACT

The focus of this chapter is the aircraft dynamic response due to inputs to the controls provided by the pilot as well as the response due to disturbance inputs that are generated by atmospheric gusts and turbulence. The latter inputs tend to exert disturbance forces and moments on the aircraft and it is important that the influence of such disturbances is realistically assessed. Simulation of aircraft dynamics has also been discussed at length by Stevens and Lewis [1] and by Zipfel [2].
