ABSTRACT

Ceramic materials are inorganic materials, which have important role in day-to-day life. They nd applications in building materials such as bricks to materials used for bone implant materials (e.g., hydroxyapatite [HA]). Due to their excellent corrosion-and wear-resistant properties, they can be used in extreme hostile environments. Nanoceramics are compact materials with size ranging up to 100  nm. Their ne grain size, abundant grain boundaries, and controlled crystallinity provide them unique properties such as hardness, strength, toughness, superplasticity, machinability, and bioactivity.
