A di¨erent approach: As every mechanical component, a composite part has to fulll the product specication. Beyond that, the composite design approach has to extend over awider range than for a composant made of predetermined classic material. In fact, the following applies:
◾ For isotropic materials, the conventional approach of the designer consists of the selection of an existing material and then of the sizing of the part thus constituted.
