Problem Statement Represented below is the cross section of asandwich beam. ”e skin thickness is small compared with that of the core. Under ashear force T,shear stress values in the section are assumed to vary in apiecewise linear fashion* along the y-direction. ”e constitutive materials, denoted as 1and 2, are assumed to be isotropic, or transversely isotropic. Shear moduli are G1 for material 1 (skin) and G2 for material 2 (core). ”e beam is of unitary width.
