ABSTRACT

In the rest of this book, we provided technical information that should prove useful to scientists and engineers who will conduct studies relating to environmental hydrology. We provided information on individual principles and procedures and, in most cases, much of the basic data needed to understand the examples and problems presented in each chapter. However, when solving real-world problems, you will quickly discover that little or no information is initially available, each problem has unique aspects, and often the questions to be answered are not well dened. Also, many hydrologic studies require knowledge of several different topics to develop a comprehensive solution.
