ABSTRACT
In an economic impact study conducted by University of Illinois researchers (Campbell et al. 2001), 10% of nonlabor nursery and turfgrass production expenses in that state went toward fuel, oil, propane, and other energy needs. Tools, equipment, and transportation account for most of the fuel used in the landscape industry.
