10.1 ACTIVATING BY PARA-AMINOBENZOIC ACID OF SOWING PROPERTIES OF SEED OF WINTER GRAIN CROPS AND FORAGE CEREALS

10.1.1 INTRODUCTION

Para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) by way of well-known activator of growth and development was applied for treatment of ears of winter wheat and winter barley. The varieties of these cultures are destined for NorthCaucasian region. Also panicles of selection samples of millet-the varieties are introduced in North Ossetia-were subject to treatment by PABA. PABA was dissolved in acetic acid, but not in water, as usual. Advantages of that mode are described. These methodologies allow to accelerate a breeding process, when often is necessary to sow in year, when was gathered harvest.
