ABSTRACT
One of the first things that comes to mind for most people involved in animal research or teaching at institutions is writing or reviewing animal use protocols. While writing a protocol is not specifically required by any federal or regulating agency, this is the method that most institutions use to comply with the required documentation for the descriptions of all proposed uses of animals to (1) ensure that all required information is provided and (2) maintain consistency in all documentation, which helps with the review process.
