ABSTRACT
The most pressing concern about using a deterministic optimization model is that often we need to make decisions now before we can know the true values or have better estimations of the parameters, and thus a deterministic model does not have the ability to account for possible deviations of parameter values that may occur. In many of these situations, the linear programming solution will be misleading.
