ABSTRACT
Previous chapters in this book examined relevant aspects of risk management for civil infrastructures. Risk management offers an objective approach to addressing numerous types of problems the community faces in a comprehensive and efcient manner. It has potential to offer improved performance at reasonable costs. In many situations, we have seen that risk management offers objective solutions to problems, which have only been addressed, thus far, mostly in a subjective manner. This nal chapter provides more important applications that showcase these capabilities and the promise of risk management as a comprehensive management method.
