ABSTRACT

The literature describing organizational trust has made some advances in contributing to the understanding of how trust relates to certain facets of an organization. Trust is realized and strengthened by social interaction, cultural affinity between people, and the support of group norms and behaviors. Organizational trust is viewed as a multilevel phenomenon that is closely related to norms, values, and belief in the organizational culture. An organization’s culture based on trust fosters attachment and facilitates relationship building among individuals. A trusting culture facilitates learning and innovative culture where people are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them.
