ABSTRACT
Despite many recent advances in this field, the long-term outcome of depression remains poor in many patients. It is now clear that effective management requires both early treatment and prevention of recurrence. This analyses the efficacy and economic benefits of the correct therapeutic treatment of depressed patients.
