In this final chapter, we will examine five cases involving cop-killers aged fifty-five and over. These cases include:
• Michael Ferryman, who killed an officer investigating a shots-fired call
• Thomas Hardy, who murdered an officer during a traffic stop • Cheryl Kidd, who killed an officer during a delusional epi-
sode of mental illness • Eli Myers, III, who killed an officer during a traffic stop This group holds a few unusual shooters, including a sixty-year-old
cop-killer, a female offender, and a former police officer.
