ABSTRACT
In this section, we will examine six cases involving cop-killers aged thirty to thirty-four. The cases in this chapter include:
• James Cruckson, who executed an officer investigating a rape by firing on police from a concealed position inside a home
• Jamie Hood, who executed an officer during a traffic stop • Leonard Statler, who killed an officer investigating a shots-
fired call • Shaun Seeley, who executed an officer who was searching his
home during a warrant service operation • Charles Post, who killed an officer who approached him in
a parking lot to arrest him on an attempted murder warrant • Martin Poynter, who murdered an officer about to arrest him
on a child support warrant We will see that this group is influenced by the three major themes:
failure of both interpersonal and professional relationships, engagement in criminal lifestyles, and/or drug addiction.
