ABSTRACT

In Chapter IV a modeling framework was implemented where the water quantity and quality indicators were assessed for both a baseline scenario and each of the proposed management solutions. Clearly, not every indicator can be determined by computer-based simulation, mainly due to lack of numerical data (time series, spatial maps, etc), knowledge or experience. In general, a severe problem of data scarcity is a common situation when biological, ecological as well as socioeconomic and even hydrological data are required; therefore, there is an urgent need to seek other sources of information, for instance, human expertise. To this end, expert elicitation has been used in this research.
