ABSTRACT
While the specific study of ethics is a relatively new phenomenon, philosophers have proposed different theories about the nature of morality as far back as Plato and Aristotle. The word ethics has its roots in the Greek word ethos, which translates to customs, conduct, or character. Ethical theory provides a system of principles that helps guide individuals to make decisions about what is good or bad and right or wrong.
