ABSTRACT

In the action planning program, the safety and loss prevention profes sional initially identifies the various needs of the overall program and priori tizes each major program. Each major program is then broken down into each of the various components or action items required for completion, and specific responsibilities with target dates are provided to assist employees. As action items are completed, the action plan notes this completion and moves on to the next action item (see Appendix D, for example). With this program, safety and loss prevention professionals will know exactly where they are in completion of the overall project and will be able to hold respon sible parties accountable for their performance.
