ABSTRACT
A unique aspect of the safety and loss prevention area is the vast quantity of free or low-cost services and information available upon request. The key, however, is that the safety and loss prevention professional must be able to identify and locate available services and request further information from specic resources. A substantial number of the sources of free services and information are governmental agencies; however, other sources, such as trade groups and universities, also provide safety and loss prevention services.
