ABSTRACT
Linear and quadratic equations are special cases of polynomial functions. These equations are of higher order than quadratic equations and more general mathematical methods are used to solve them.
This chapter presents general concepts and techniques to evaluate and solve polynomial functions with emphasis on numerical and graphical methods. Solutions implemented with the C programming language and the Gnu Scientific Library (GSL) are presented and discussed.
