ABSTRACT

B.1 Introduction

Virtual reality headsets have become affordable commodity devices (e.g., Oculus Rift). Even the do-it-yourself (diy) community has developed easier ways to take your own existing phone and transform it into a stereoscopic headset. This has been helped in part by the introduction of the Oculus Rift VR developer edition. The announced Microsoft HoloLens, Durovis Dive, Razer OSVR, Samsung Galaxy VR, Archos VR, and many others now speckle the landscape. A few of the systems listed above require a specific smartphone(s). For instance the Samsung Galaxy VR requires a Samsung Galaxy Note (3 or 4) in order to work. Stereoscopic VR can now be found readily available and with several options to choose from.
