ABSTRACT
In order to effectively interpret the significance of studies looking into the relationship between the MAPO (movimentazione e assistenza pazienti ospedalizzatimovement and assistance for hospitalized patients) risk index and acute low-back pain in hospital wards, it is worth remembering that this methodological proposal was originally developed in the period from 1994 to 1997. Since then, healthcare systems have undergone massive changes, as illustrated elsewhere in this volume.
