ABSTRACT
Nowadays, there is a continuous increase in the volume of manufactured synthetic polymers used for various applications, which is one of the most important functions in food packaging. The disposal of the used materials is becoming a serious problem. Some fractions of plastic waste generated from food packaging materials may be recycled, but most of these residues are disposed in landlls due to technical and/or economical reasons.
